Penang Laksa

Yes, Penang is famous for lot of food....i mean nice food....

During my business travel to Penang last months, I manage to try out some of the nice food there...

One of the best would be the Penang Asam Laksa near Kek Lok Si Temple. Basically it was a wet market so you can expect sitting at smelling and wet area while enjoying this sweet, sour and spicy delicacy...

The noodle is normal but the gravy is extremely nice. The fish meat was well blended with the spicy gravy and with some lime smell and mint. Although the place is dirty and the way the uncle cook the asam laksa does not seem to be any cleaner, but the moment you sip the gravy you will be very satisfied...

So next time you went to Kek Lok Si temple, look out for the asam laksa…You won’t regret.

i not so sure because the time i go only left asam laksa, popiah and sugar cane drink...it was at the entrance if you are walking. Normally if by car you can drive up the hill....the stall is at down hill...

I ate there during my utar graduation trip in 2007. Quite nice. Just nearby kek lok si. Normally we will eat then visit the temple or vice versa

i went there like last month and i find the laksa there kinda 'going downhill'. Maybe cos its getting too popular. However i manage to try out lots of other food there.
